HORROR ON THE RHINE

St. Gereon is the bloody scene of the martyrdom suffered by the first Christians. The crimes of war are also terrible and are commemorated by monuments. A park invites you to linger; it is hard to imagine that a notorious prison once stood here.

Marvel at the monumental buildings of the Gerling Group, which has long been a thing of the past. The buildings were popularly known as the “little Reich Chancellery”. They bear witness to the decay of a huge empire.

Experience the red light district of the 60s and 70s. Cologne is known as the “Chicago on the Rhine”. Raw violence, prostitution and drug excesses made headlines throughout Germany.

You can expect a journey through a spectacular city history with its original crime scenes. With so much horror, you could lose faith in the good. Is there still hope? Is there any good in this world of horror in the end?
